The
Yaesu G-5500DC provide azimuth and elevation control of medium and large-size unidirectional satellite antenna arrays under remote control from the station operating position.
The rotators may be mounted together on a mast, or independently with the azimuth rotator inside a tower and the elevation rotator on the mast.
If you're just starting out in satellite operation, the G-5500 provides a complete Azimuth (450º)-Elevation (180º) rotation system that's ideal for most all Amateur applications; the dual controller lets you keep track of all aspects of the antenna system's positioning.
The G-5500 also includes an interface jack for computer control, supported by An External Control jack (DIN connector) provided on the rear of the controller for interfacing via D-to-A converters to an external microcomputer or other display/controller, like the optional GS-232A Computer Controlled as well as many aftermarket control programs and interfaces.

The scope of delivery includes:
Azimuth rotor
Elevation rotor
Dual control unit including integrated RS-232C interface for PC control
Mounting plate, U-shaped
1 set of clamping jaws for pipe mounting
2 sets of connectors for rotor and control unit
hardware
The bracket set for separate mounting of the elevation rotor is not included. Order additional 2 sets of double pipe clamp art. 3080487
With long control cable, a voltage drop occurs and the rotor becomes less powerful. Then use heavier cores for the supply of the motor voltage or use a number of wires connected in parallel.
To avoid interference in the control/indication, do not bundle control cable of rotors with preset/variable speed electronics with coaxial cable. With a transmission power of > 500 W, keep a distance of at least 20 cm.
