The
HVT-600 is a HF/VHF 10-band mobile antenna. (Outbacker principle).
The design of the world famous Outbacker HF mobile antenna originated in Australia and evolved from the standard commercial Terlin antenna, adapted for the amateur bands. The baseloaded antenna consists of a fiberglass core with helical copper windings covered with a coating for extra strength, durability and protection. The base coil is extended with a steel whip.
The base coil is fitted with operation tap points for tuning to the various bands. A so-called flying wire (jumper lead) is used for quick and easy manual channel switching. Simply plug one end into the lowest jack, wind the cord around the antenna and connect the other end to the required tap. Fine tuning by adjusting the length of the whip.
